Membership benefits and types

Membership is open to any person, anywhere in the world, who owns, sails, or is in any other way interested in Drascombe boats and those boats inspired by, and/or made in accordance with the designs and specifications of John Watkinson. On joining each new member receives an electronic copy of the latest Drascombe Association News (DAN) magazine plus copy of the Association rules.  A Welcome Pack including the 2020 DA publication Getting the Most Out of Your Boat, a DA information leaflet and a membership sticker will follow soon after by post. 

Thereafter, the quarterly DAN editions keeps members advised of Association affairs and the activities of members and about their boats.  

We have several classes of membership as described below.  Please refer to the appropriate section of this website for rates and how to join on-line.  Note that your application is dealt with by volunteers. Typically you will receive a response within 5-10 days. Occasionally it may take longer if the Membership Secretary has been away sailing or on holiday. 

• Joint membership applications - a couple who both wish to be regarded as full members (entitled to vote and sign rally application forms) may either join separately or if they are content to share one quarterly DAN between them, they may elect to pay a joint concessionary subscription of one and a half times the subscription that applies to their country of residence. • UK applications -United Kingdom including Isle of Man and The Channel Islands
• EUROPE and EIRE applications - please note, countries treated as Europe for postal purposes even if they are not in the EU are shown below
• Rest of the World (RoW) applications - any country which is not the UK, in the EU or listed as European country for postal purposes

*Countries in addition to Eire which are treated as Europe for postage.
